Not essential, but extremely helpful So, Star Wars Edge of the Empire is a new game. It's also pretty different than most tabletops. That makes the charts and information on the GM screen super useful. My group has been playing with the beta book for a few months and that poor thing is literally falling apart because we're constantly looking stuff up. (Don't worry, the actual Core Rulebook seems much sturdier.) The inside of the screen has panels for pretty much everything you'd have to reference often: advantage/Threat suggestions, interpreting dice rolls, weapon stats and keywords, critical injuries for both PCs and vehicles. It's solid stuff. The screen itself is fairly stocky. More importantly, though, its taller than most screens I've seen and each panel isn't as wide, meaning it takes up less room on the table. That's great because EotE isn't really a game where you need to hide a whole lot from the group. The mini-campaign thats included isn't bad either. My game is pretty deep...
