Pleasantly surpised At the time of this review, the title and description provide conflicting info. These collars are for 1" standard bars, NOT 2" Olympic bars.Found these locally, new in package at a used sporting goods store for $2.99 per 2-pack. Expected lower quality, but very pleased. Tension is strong. Very strong. Actually reminds me of a miniature hand grip, both in looks and in tension. The metal is set in molded plastic, stamped Made in Taiwan. I hate to jump on the China-bashing bandwagon, since so much of what we use is made in China, but after seeing so much bashing on Amazon, I'm marked. I did a side-by-side comparison with a similar pair made in China. The metal portion appeared exactly the same, but the molded plastic seemed slightly lesser quality on the China-made pair. I puchased these for using on machines--vertical leg press, leg curl/extension machine, and CAM Ab/back machine--not on bars. Very easy to slip on/off. And they remain in place. So perfect for me...
